Dr. George Kidd Presidential Initiatives Endowment
Dr. George Kidd Jr., Tiffin University’s third president (1981–2002), is widely regarded as the founder of modern Tiffin University. Under his leadership, TU experienced a period of transformational growth. Enrollment increased from 325 to 1,600 students, and the campus expanded significantly with the creation of the Gillmor Student Center, Hanson Physical Fitness Center, various residence halls and the Paradiso Athletic Fields. Dr. Kidd was instrumental in securing national accreditation through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, launching the University’s first graduate program (the MBA), expanding co-curricular opportunities and adding 12 athletic teams. His vision and leadership continue to shape TU’s legacy today.
To honor his legacy at the University, The Dr. George Kidd Jr. Presidential Initiatives Endowment has been established to provide annual fund to support innovation, creativity, transformation, growth and/or entrepreneurial initiatives lead by Tiffin University's president.
